Installation Procedure

  1. Lubricate the master cylinder reservoir seals with GM approved brake fluid from a clean, sealed, brake fluid container.

    NOTE:

    Ensure the reservoir seals are fully seated in the master cylinder.

    Install the 2 master cylinder reservoir seals (1).

    NOTE:

    Ensure the master cylinder reservoir is fully seated in the master cylinder.

    Firmly and squarely press the master cylinder reservoir (1) into the master cylinder.

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

    Install the master cylinder reservoir bolt (1) and tighten to 8 N.m (71 lb in).

  5. Connect the brake fluid level indicator switch electrical connector.

    Install the power brake booster vacuum sensor (1) to the power vacuum brake booster.

  7. Install the brake fluid level indicator switch harness to the clips on the master cylinder reservoir.
  8. Connect the power brake booster vacuum sensor electrical connector.
  9. Fill the master cylinder reservoir. Refer to Brake Master Cylinder Reservoir Filling .
