Removal Procedure

  1. GM3286838

    Remove the instrument panel assembly (1). Refer to Instrument Panel Assembly Replacement .

  2. GM3018636

    Remove the steering column (2). Refer to Steering Column Replacement (N37)Steering Column Replacement (N38) .

  3. GM2913583

    Remove the disc player (2). Refer to Disc Player Replacement .

  4. GM2909697

    Remove the heater and air conditioning remote control (1). Refer to Heater and Air Conditioning Remote Control Replacement .

  5. GM2917407

    Note the location and routing of the instrument panel electrical harness assembly, to ensure proper reinstallation.

  6. Disconnect the fasteners securing the instrument panel electrical harness assembly to the instrument carrier and position out of the way.
  7. With the aid of an assistant lift the instrument carrier (1) rearward and upward from the tie bar assembly.
  8. Remove the instrument carrier from the vehicle.
