Circuit/System Verification

- Ignition - On / Vehicle - In Service Mode
- Verify DTC P0400, P0401, P0405, P0406, P042E, P42F, P049D is not set.
- If DTC P0400, P0401, P0405, P0406, P042E, P42F, P049D is set
Refer to : Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) List - Vehicle
- Go to next step : If DTC P0400, P0401, P0405, P0406, P042E, P042F, P049D is not set
- If DTC P0400, P0401, P0405, P0406, P042E, P42F, P049D is set
- Perform the scan tool function : EGR Valve - Increase
Verify the scan tool parameter : EGR Valve Position Sensor = 0 to 60% and changes
- If not between 0 and 60% or does not change
Refer to : Circuit/System Testing
- Go to next step : If between 0 and 60% and changes
- If not between 0 and 60% or does not change
- Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that you observed from the Freeze Frame/Failure Records data.
Verify the DTC does not set.
- If the DTC sets
Refer to : Circuit/System Testing
- Go to next step : If the DTC is not set
- If the DTC sets
- All OK.
