Circuit/System Verification

- Ignition - On / Vehicle - In Service Mode
- Verify DTC P003A, P0045, P0047, P0048, PP16FA, P16FC, 16B0, P16B1, P16B2, P169E, P169F, P2564, P2565 is not set.
- If the DTC is set
Refer to : Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) List - Vehicle
- Go to next step : If the DTC is not set
- If the DTC is set
- Verify the scan tool parameter : Turbocharger Vane Position Sensor = Greater than 80%
- If not in the specified range
Refer to : Circuit/System Testing
- Go to next step : If in the specified range
- If not in the specified range
- Engine - Idling
- Verify the scan tool parameter : Turbocharger Vane Position Sensor = 80 - 100%
- If not in the specified range
Refer to : Circuit/System Testing
- Go to next step : If in the specified range
- If not in the specified range
- Perform the scan tool control function : Turbocharger Vane Position - From 20 to 80% and back to 20%.
Verify the difference between the following parameters is less than 15% :
- Desired Turbocharger Vane Position
- Turbocharger Vane Position Sensor
- If the difference is greater than 15%
Refer to : Circuit/System Testing
- Go to next step : If the difference is less than 15%
- Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that you observed from the Freeze Frame/Failure Records data.
Verify the DTC does not set.
- If the DTC sets

- Go to next step : If the DTC is not set
- If the DTC sets
- All OK.
