Circuit/System Verification

- Ignition - On / Vehicle - In Service Mode
- Verify there are no DTCs set related to the following component/system :
- B9 Ambient Air Temperature Sensor
- B17 Barometric Pressure Sensor
- B26 Crankshaft Position Sensor
- B34 Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor
- B47B Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor
- B65 Intake Manifold Pressure and Air Temperature Sensor
- B75C Multifunction Intake Air Sensor
- B115 Vehicle Speed Sensor
- B130 Exhaust Gas Recirculation Temperature Sensor
- B131 Exhaust Temperature Sensor
- B136 Exhaust Particulate Matter Sensor
- B154 Diesel Particulate Filter Exhaust Differential Pressure Sensor
- B195 Nitrogen Oxides Sensor
- M103 Turbocharger Vane Position Actuator
- Q14 Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve
- Q17 Fuel Injector
- Q38 Throttle Body
- If a related DTC is set
- Refer to : Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) List - Vehicle
- Go to next step : If a related DTC is not set
- Verify the following conditions do not exist :
- Induction System - Leaking/Restricted - Refer to : Charge Air Cooler Diagnosis (Full System Leak Test) , or Charge Air Cooler Diagnosis (Induction System Smoke Test)
- Exhaust System/Turbocharger - Leaking/Restricted - Refer to : Exhaust Leakage
- If a condition exists
Repair or replace as necessary
- Go to next step : If no condition exists
- Replace the component : Exhaust Particulate Filter
