Circuit/System Verification

  1. Ignition - On / Vehicle - In Service Mode
  2. Verify DTC P0102, P103, P0641, P0651, P0697, P06A3 is not set.
    • Go to next step : If none of the DTCs are set 
    3. NOTE:

    To minimize the effects of residual engine heat and heating elements inside the sensor, perform step 3 of this procedure only if the ignition has been Off for longer than 8 h.

  3. Verify the following parameters are within 25°C (45°F) of each other :
    • Start-Up IAT Sensor 1
    • Start-Up IAT Sensor 2
    • Start-Up ECT
    • If not within 25°C (45°F) of each other 

      Refer to : Circuit/System Testing

    • Go to next step : If within 25°C (45°F) of each other 
  4. Engine - Running
  5. Verify the scan tool parameter : Intake Air Humidity Sensor = 5 to 90%
    • If not between 5 and 90% 

      Refer to : Circuit/System Testing

    • Go to next step : If between 5 and 90% 
  6. Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that you observed from the Freeze Frame/Failure Records data.

    Verify the DTC does not set.

    • If the DTC sets 

      Refer to : Circuit/System Testing

    • Go to next step : If the DTC is not set 
  7. All OK.
