Circuit/System Verification

  1. Ignition - On / Vehicle - In Service Mode
  2. Verify there are no related DTCs set in the following system: Serial Data
    • Go to next step: If a related DTC is not set 
  3. Perform the scan tool control function: All Indicators @ P16 Instrument Cluster

    Verify the indicator status: Tow/Haul Mode = On

    • If the indicator is Off 

      Replace the component: P16 Instrument Cluster

    • Go to next step: If the indicator is On 
  4. Operate the component: S18 Exhaust Brake Switch - On and Off

    Verify the indicator status: Tow/Haul Mode = On and Off

    • If not the specified state 

      Refer to: Circuit/System Testing

    • Go to next step: If the specified state 
  5. All OK.
