The exhaust aftertreatment fuel injector, also known as the low pressure diesel hydrocarbon injector is located on the passenger side frame rail. The exhaust aftertreatment fuel injector is used to inject fuel into the exhaust system to generate the required heat needed by the diesel oxidation catalyst to function properly.
