Installation Procedure

Perform the following steps at each end of the spark plug wire (1).
- Inspect the inside of the spark plug wire boot for a thin, even coat of dielectric grease. If there is no grease present or additional grease is necessary, continue to the next step.
- Apply a thin coating of dielectric grease to the inside of the spark plug wire boot up to a depth of 15 mm (0.60 in) from the end of the boot. Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers
- Remove any excess dielectric grease from around the end of the spark plug wire boot and ensure there is not an excessive amount within the boot.
Perform the following steps to install the spark plug wire (1) to the ignition coil:
- Push the spark plug wire boot onto to the ignition coil until two audible clicks are heard.
- Push sideways on the spark plug wire boot to ensure the it does not disengage from the ignition coil.
Perform the following steps to install the spark plug wire (1) to the spark plug:
- Push the spark plug wire boot onto to the spark plug.
- Push sideways on the spark plug wire boot to ensure the it does not disengage from the spark plug.
