Removal Procedure

    Refer to Diesel/Gasoline Vapors Warning .

    WARNING:

    Refer to Safety Glasses Warning .

  1. Relieve the fuel system pressure. Fuel Pressure Relief 
  2. Drain the fuel tank. Fuel Tank Draining 
  3. Raise and support the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .

    Evaporative Emission Hose (1) - Disconnect - Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service 

  5. Evaporative Emission Hose (2) - Disconnect - Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service 
  6. Fuel Tank Filler Hose Clamp (3) - Remove
  7. Fuel Tank Filler Hose (4) - Remove
  8. Fuel Feed Rear Pipe (5) - Disconnect - Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service 
  9. Disconnect the fuel tank fuel pump module connector.

    Place a suitable adjustable jack under the fuel tank.

  11. Use a suitable strap to strap fuel tank to jack.
  12. Fuel Tank Strap Bolt (1) - Remove [2x]
  13. Fuel Tank Strap (2) - Remove [2x]

    Fuel Tank (1) - Remove

  15. If replacing fuel tank transfer parts as necessary.
