Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the battery negative cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Single Battery) , or Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Dual Battery)
  2. Engine Coolant Fan Rear Shroud - Remove - Engine Coolant Fan Rear Shroud Replacement (LV1)
  3. Raise and support the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle

    Disconnect the electrical connector (1).

  5. Remove the lower camshaft position sensor wiring harness connector bolt (2).
  6. Lower the vehicle.

    Disconnect the electrical connector (1).

  8. Remove the upper camshaft position sensor wiring harness connector bolt (2).
  9. Reposition the camshaft position sensor bracket (3).

    Remove the camshaft position sensor (1).

  11. Remove and DISCARD the camshaft position sensor seal (2).
