Installation Procedure

Install a NEW camshaft position sensor seal (2).

Lubricate the seal with clean engine oil. Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers
Install the camshaft position sensor (1).

Position the camshaft position sensor bracket (3).
Install the upper camshaft position sensor wiring harness connector bolt (2) and hand tighten.
Connect the electrical connector (1).
Raise the vehicle.

CAUTION:
Refer to Fastener Caution .

Install the lower camshaft position sensor wiring harness connector bolt (2) and tighten to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).
Connect the electrical connector (1).
Lower the vehicle.

Tighten the upper camshaft position sensor wiring harness connector bolt (1) to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).
Engine Coolant Fan Rear Shroud - Install - Engine Coolant Fan Rear Shroud Replacement (LV1)
Connect the battery negative cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Single Battery) , or Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Dual Battery)
