Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the battery negative cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Single Battery) , or Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Dual Battery)
  2. Water Pump - Remove - Water Pump Replacement (LV1)

    Disconnect the electrical connector (1).

  4. Remove the camshaft position actuator magnet bolts (2).

    Remove the camshaft position actuator magnet (1).

  6. Remove and DISCARD the camshaft position actuator magnet gasket (2).
