Installation Procedure

- CAUTION:
Refer to Component Fastener Tightening Caution .
NOTE:If reinstalling the old sensor, coat the threads with anti-sieze compound. Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers
Nitrogen Oxides Sensor (1) - Install and tighten 50 N.m (37 lb ft)
- Engine Cover - Install - Engine Cover Replacement
- Raise and support the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
Nitrogen Oxides Sensor Cable (1) @ Nitrogen Oxides Sensor Cable Clip (2) - Install [2x]
Nitrogen Oxides Sensor (3) - Move into position
- Nitrogen Oxides Sensor Bolt (2) - Install and tighten [2x] 10.5 N.m (93 lb in)
- Electrical Connector (1) @ Nitrogen Oxides Sensor (3) - Connect
- Remove the supports and lower the vehicle.
- If replacing, perform the NOx sensor 1 reset. NOx Sensor 1 Reset
- If replacing, perform the NOx catalyst reductant loading reset. NOx Catalyst Reductant Loading Reset
- Perform the diesel particulate filter (DPF) regeneration enable. Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) Regeneration Enable
