Installation Procedure

    NOTE:

    If reinstalling the old sensor, coat the threads with anti-sieze compound. Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers

    Nitrogen Oxides Sensor (1) - Install and tighten 50 N.m (37 lb ft)

  2. Engine Cover - Install - Engine Cover Replacement
  3. Raise and support the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle

    Nitrogen Oxides Sensor Cable (1) @ Nitrogen Oxides Sensor Cable Clip (2) - Install [2x]

    Nitrogen Oxides Sensor (3) - Move into position

  6. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  7. Nitrogen Oxides Sensor Bolt (2) - Install and tighten [2x] 10.5 N.m (93 lb in)
  8. Electrical Connector (1) @ Nitrogen Oxides Sensor (3) - Connect
  9. Remove the supports and lower the vehicle.
  10. If replacing, perform the NOx sensor 1 reset. NOx Sensor 1 Reset 
  11. If replacing, perform the NOx catalyst reductant loading reset. NOx Catalyst Reductant Loading Reset 
  12. Perform the diesel particulate filter (DPF) regeneration enable. Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) Regeneration Enable
