WARNING:
High Pressure Lines deliver diesel fuel under extreme pressure from the injection pump to the fuel injectors. This may be as high as 1600 Bar (23, 200 psi). Use extreme caution when inspecting for high pressure leaks. Fuel under this amount of pressure can penetrate skin causing personal injury, or death. Wear safety goggles and adequate clothing when servicing this fuel system.
NOTE:
- High pressure fuel feed pipes are one time use only. ALWAYS install a NEW high pressure fuel feed pipe if the pipe is removed OR the fittings are loosened.
- If applicable, ALWAYS perform the fuel filter life reset after replacing the fuel filter.
- Turn OFF the engine for 30 seconds. This will completely purge the fuel pressure from the fuel system.
- Engine Cover - Remove - Engine Cover Replacement
Separate the engine wiring harness clips (1) from the vacuum pipe and the fuel feed pipe.
- Disconnect the electrical connectors (2) from the fuel injectors.
Remove the fuel return pipe (1). Fuel Injection Fuel Return Pipe Replacement
Loosen both of the fuel injection fuel feed pipe fittings (1, 2).
- Remove and DISCARD the fuel injection fuel feed pipe (3).
- Repeat the previous steps for any additional fuel injection fuel feed pipes being serviced.
