Circuit/System Verification

- Verify that DTCs P2264, or P2269 are not set.
- If DTCs P2264, or P2269 are set
Refer to Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) List - Vehicle .
- Go to next step : If DTCs P2264, or P2269 are not set
- If DTCs P2264, or P2269 are set
- Verify there is no water in the fuel.
- If water present in the fuel
Refer to Water-in-Fuel Draining .
- Go to next step : If no water present in the fuel
- If water present in the fuel
- Ignition ON.
- Verify the Water In Fuel lamp turns ON and OFF when commanded with a scan tool.
- If the Water in Fuel lamp does not turn ON and OFF
Refer to Symptoms - Displays and Gauges .
- Go to next step : If the Water in Fuel lamp turns ON and OFF
- If the Water in Fuel lamp does not turn ON and OFF
- All OK
NOTE:
If contaminants are noticed in the fuel, a fuel system cleaning may be necessary. Refer to Contaminants-in-Fuel Diagnosis .
