Component Testing

Static Test

  1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the Q47 Exhaust Gas Recirculation Cooler Bypass Solenoid Valve.
  2. Test for 25 - 35 Ω between the control terminal 1 and the voltage terminal 2 of the Q47 Exhaust Gas Recirculation Cooler Bypass Solenoid Valve.
    • If not within 20 - 35 Ω 

      Replace the Q47 Exhaust Gas Recirculation Cooler Bypass Solenoid Valve.

    • Go to next step : If within 20 - 35 Ω 
  3. Test for infinite resistance between each terminal and the Q47 Exhaust Gas Recirculation Cooler Bypass Solenoid Valve housing.
    • If less than infinite resistance 

      Replace the Q47 Exhaust Gas Recirculation Cooler Bypass Solenoid Valve.

    • Go to next step : If infinite resistance 
  4. All OK.
