Air Pressure Application

Refer to Charge Air Cooler Warning .

  1. Attach the EN 46091-1  outlet hose to the quick disconnect fitting on EN 47656-NA  .
  2. Connect the air supply to the air valve on the gauge/regulator assembly.
  3. Open the air supply valve slowly, increasing the air pressure to a maximum of 69 kPa (10 psi) while listening for abnormal air leaks.
  4. NOTE:
    • For accurate readings you must allow at least 30 s for the air pressure to stabilize.
    • The engine will not hold pressure if the gauge valve is turned OFF.
    • If an excessive air leak hissing sound at turbocharger outlet is present, rotate the crankshaft 90 degrees.
  5. Leave the air valve turned ON for the duration of the test.
