Installation Procedure

Install the starter (1) with the right side flywheel inspection cover.

CAUTION:

Starter Mounting Bolt (2) - Install and tighten [2x] 50 N.m (37 lb ft)

Install the right side flywheel inspection cover bolt (1) and tighten to 9 N.m (80 lb in)

Engine Oil Cooler Pipe (1) - Install - Engine Oil Cooler Pipe Replacement (LWN) , or Engine Oil Cooler Pipe Replacement (LV1)

Battery Positive Cable (1) - Install
Battery Positive Cable Nut (2) - Install and tighten 14 N.m (124 lb in)
Electrical Connector (4) @ Starter Solenoid - Connect
Protective Sleeve (3) - Reposition

Starter Heat Shield (4) - Install - Starter Shield Replacement (LV1)
Lower the vehicle.
Connect the negative battery cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Single Battery) , or Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Dual Battery)
