1	Propeller Shaft Transmission Flange Fluid Seal NOTE: Install a NEW seal, it is not reusable. Procedure Using a suitable tool, remove the rear transmission housing oil seal (1) from the transmission housing. Use care in order to avoid damaging the output shaft. Lubricate the seal with clean transmission fluid. Use the DT-22828 Input and Countershaft Race Installer and DT-50896 Seal Installer to install the seal. Special Tools DT-22828 Input and Countershaft Race Installer DT-50896 Seal Installer For equivalent regional tools, refer to Special Tools .

NOTE:

Procedure

Using a suitable tool, remove the rear transmission housing oil seal (1) from the transmission housing. Use care in order to avoid damaging the output shaft.
Lubricate the seal with clean transmission fluid.
Use the DT-22828 Input and Countershaft Race Installer and DT-50896 Seal Installer to install the seal.
