Circuit/System Testing

  1. Ignition OFF. Test the reductant system for contamination. Refer to Contaminants-in-Diesel Exhaust Fluid Diagnosis .
    • If any conditions are found 

      Repair as necessary

    • Go to next step: If no conditions are found 
  2. Ignition ON, command the Reductant System Leak Test on with the scan tool.
  3. Verify that the system is able to build up and reach the reductant pressure sensor parameter greater than 450 kPa.
    • If less than the specified range 
    1. Command the Reductant Pump to 50% with the scan tool.
    2. Verify that the desired Reductant Pump Speed and actual Reductant Pump Speed parameters are equal.
      • Go to next step: If equal
    • Go to next step: If within the specified range 
  4. Verify there are no leaks, kinks or restrictions in the reductant lines
    • If any condition is found 

      Repair as necessary

    • Go to next step: If no conditions are found 
  5. Verify the Emission Reduction Fluid Injector Quantity Test  passes.
    • If the test does not pass 

      Repair as instructed per the test.

    • Go to next step: If the test passes 
  6. Perform the Reductant System Tamper Service Bay Test .
    • If the test does not pass 

      A condition with the system still exists. Refer to Circuit/System Testing.

    • Go to next step: If the test passes 
  7. All OK.
