The control functions for the fuel injection system are integrated in the ECM. During the manufacturing process, each injector flow rate is measured and recorded as injection quantity adjustment flow rate data. This data, together with the injectors cylinder position, is stored in the ECM. When the ignition is turned ON, the ECM monitors the fuel injection flow rate numbers to ensure they are present.
