Circuit/System Verification

- Ignition On.
- Verify DTC P00C7, P00E9, P00EA, P00EB, P00EC, P0101, P0102, P0103, P0106, P0107, P0108, P0116, P0117, P0118, P0119, P0128, P0201, P0202, P0203, P0204, P020A, P020B, P020C, P020D, P0216, P0261, P0262, P0264, P0265, P0267, P0268, P0270, P0271, P02EE, P02EF, P02F0, P02F1, P0405, P0406, P049D, P0502, P0503, P062B, P062D, P0722, P0723, P111E, P113E, P1197, P1248, P1249, P124A, P124B, P126A, P2147, P2148, P2150, P2151, P2470, P2471, or P2472 is not set.
- If a DTC is set
Refer to Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) List - Vehicle .
- Go to next step: If a DTC is not set
- If a DTC is set
- Verify that the resistance of the B131 Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor 3 and 4 is within the range specified in Temperature Versus Resistance - Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor
- If not within the specified range
Replace the appropriate B131 Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor
- Go to next step: If within the specified range
- If not within the specified range
- Verify the following conditions do not exist:
- Improperly operating exhaust aftertreatment fuel injector. Refer to Exhaust Aftertreatment Fuel Injector Diagnosis
- Exhaust system leaks - Refer to Exhaust Leakage .
- A loose or disconnected charge air cooler hose or pipe
- Loose or missing induction or exhaust system components
- If a condition is found
Repair as necessary.
- Go to next step: If no condition is found
- Perform the Diesel Particulate Filter Service Regeneration
- Verify the regeneration completed.
- If the regeneration did not complete
Replace the exhaust particulate filter.
- Go to next step: If the regeneration completed
- If the regeneration did not complete
- Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that you observed from the Freeze Frame/Failure Records data.
- Verify the DTC does not set.
- If a DTC sets
Replace the exhaust particulate filter.
- Go to next step: If the DTC does not set
- If a DTC sets
- All OK.
