Circuit/System Verification

  1. Ignition ON.
  2. Verify that DTC P00C7, P0045, P0047, P0048, P0101, P0102, P0103, P0106, P0107, P0108, P0400 - P0402, P16B0 - P16B2, P169E, P169F, P2227 - P2230, P2598, or P2599 is not set.
    • Go to next step: If none of the DTCs are set 
  3. Verify the scan tool MAP Sensor parameter is within the range listed in the following table: Altitude Versus Barometric Pressure .
    • If not within the specified range 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing.

    • Go to next step: If within the specified range 
  4. Engine running.
  5. Verify the scan tool Turbocharger Vane Position parameter increases and decreases when commanding the Turbocharger Vane Position to 80% and then back to 10% with a scan tool.
    • If the parameter does not increase and decrease 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing.

    • Go to next step: If the parameter increases and decreases 
  6. Exit the control function and increase the engine speed to 2, 500 RPM.
  7. Verify the MAP Sensor parameter increases with Desired Boost Pressure parameter.
    • If the MAP Sensor parameter does not increase 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing.

    • Go to next step: If the MAP Sensor parameter does increase 
  8. Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that you observed from the Freeze Frame/Failure Records data.
    • If any DTCs set 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing.

    • Go to next step: If none of the DTCs set 
  9. All OK.
