Removal Procedure

- Disconnect the battery negative cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Single Battery) , or Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Dual Battery)
- Raise and support the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
Starter Heat Shield(4) - Remove - Starter Shield Replacement (LV1)
Protective Sleeve (3) - Reposition
- Electrical Connector(4)@Starter Solenoid - Disconnect
- Battery Positive Cable Nut(2) - Remove
- Battery Positive Cable(1) - Remove
Engine Oil Cooler Pipe(1) - Reposition - Engine Oil Cooler Pipe Replacement (LWN) , or Engine Oil Cooler Pipe Replacement (LV1)
Remove the right side flywheel inspection cover bolt (1).
Starter Mounting Bolt(2) - Remove[2x]
- Remove the starter (1) with the right side flywheel inspection cover.
