Removal Procedure

  1. Unhook the door check link, if equipped.
  2. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the door, if equipped.

    WARNING:

    When working with any type of glass or sheet metal with exposed or rough edges, wear approved safety glasses and gloves in order to reduce the chance of personal injury.

    NOTE:

    Follow the installation instructions for Cargo Door Grease-able Hinge Pin kit. If the hinge pin will not come out using these techniques, use the J 41226  door hinge pin drillout kit with the J 41226-50  door hinge pin adapter kit.

    With the door closed but Not latched, drive out the upper hinge pin on the cargo door. An air hammer may be required to fully drive the pin out, however, begin with a hammer and drift.

  4. Remove the lower hinge pin on the same door using the same procedure as used for the upper hinge.
  5. Remove the door from the vehicle and place it on a cushioned workplace.
  6. Remove the opposite door by driving out the hinge pins the same way as done for the first door.
  7. Remove the door from the vehicle and place it on a cushioned workplace.
