Installation Procedure

Guide the seal through the opening between the body and the hinges.
- Install the cargo door seal starting at the top center of the liftgate opening. Position the liftgate seal to the pinch-weld flange and working down the right and left sides towards the bottom center.
- Install the butt joint seam at the center of the bottom pinch-weld flange.
- Use a rubber mallet to ensure full engagement of the cargo door seal to the pinch-weld flange.
- Cut slots as necessary to provide clearance for body structure reinforcements.
- Close the cargo door.
IMPORTANT:
A mastic sealer glue is inside of new cargo door seal. If a new seal is being installed, weatherstrip adhesive should not be used.
If the cargo door seal is reused, weatherstrip adhesive should be used.
IMPORTANT:
Be sure that the seal is not kinked at the corners of the door openings.
