Installation Procedure
Apply a 3 mm (0.118 in) bead of RTV sealant on the engine front cover, engine block, and rear oil seal housing mating surfaces as shown (a). Apply a 5 mm (0.197 in) bead of RTV sealant between the engine front cover and engine block mating surfaces as shown (b). Apply a 5 mm (0.197 in) bead of RTV sealant between the crankshaft rear oil seal housing and engine block mating surfaces as shown (c). Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers
Oil Pan Gasket (2) - Install a NEW gasket.
- Oil Pan (1) - Install
Oil Pan-to-Block and Oil Pan-to-Front Cover Bolts (1) - Install, but do NOT tighten [13x]
- Oil Pan-to- Rear Cover Bolts (2) - Install, but do NOT tighten [2x]

CAUTION:
Tighten the oil pan bolts in sequence. Oil Pan Installation
Transmission Bolt (1) @ Oil Pan - Install [2x] - Transmission Replacement
Transmission Converter Cover (2)- Right Side - Install - Transmission Converter Cover Replacement (Right Side)
Transmission Converter Cover (2)- Left Side - Install - Transmission Converter Cover Replacement (Left Side)
Engine Wiring Harness Channel (1) @ Oil Pan - Connect
Engine Wiring Harness Clip Bolt (1) - Install and tighten 9 N.m (80 lb in)
Transmission Fluid Cooler Pipe Clip Bolt (1) - Install and tighten 10 N.m (89 lb in)
Engine Oil Cooler Hose (1) - Install - Engine Oil Cooler Hose Replacement (L96, LC8)
Front Suspension Crossmember (1) - Install - Front Suspension Crossmember Replacement
Oil Filter (1) - Install a NEW filter. DO NOT reuse old filter. - Engine Oil and Oil Filter Replacement
- Fill the engine oil to the proper level with NEW engine oil. - Engine Oil and Oil Filter Replacement
