Installation Procedure

- NOTE:
- All or some of the OLD camshaft position actuator magnet gasket MAY stick to components when removing.
- Ensure the engine front cover is clean before installing the NEW camshaft position actuator magnet gasket.
- If reusing, ensure the camshaft position actuator magnet is clean before installing the NEW camshaft position actuator magnet gasket.
- To clear the camshaft position sensor wire bracket, install the camshaft position actuator magnet and then turn counterclockwise.
Install the camshaft position actuator magnet gasket (1) and magnet (2) to the engine front cover.
Install a NEW gasket.
- CAUTION:
Refer to Fastener Caution .
Install the engine front cover bolts (1) and tighten to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).
- Connect the electrical connector (2) to the camshaft position actuator magnet.
