Oil Pump Assemble

    NOTE:

    Prior to assembling the oil pump, coat all wear or internal surfaces with clean engine oil.

    Install the driven gear (412) into the pump housing (413).

    Install the driven gear with the orientation mark facing the pump cover.

  2. Install the drive gear (410) into the pump housing.
  3. Install the oil pump cover (409).
    4. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  4. Install the oil pump cover bolts (408) and tighten to 12 N.m (106 lb in).
  5. Install the relief valve (414).
  6. Install the relief valve spring (415).
  7. Install the relief valve plug (416) and tighten to 14 N.m (124 lb in).
  8. Inspect the oil pump for smooth operation by rotating the drive gear.
