Removal Procedure

WARNING:
In order to avoid being burned, do not service the exhaust system while it is still hot. Service the system when it is cool.
WARNING:
Avoid contact with HOT components. Wear safety glasses and protective gloves to avoid personal injury.
- Engine Cover - Remove - Engine Cover Replacement
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve Temperature Sensor - Remove - Exhaust Gas Recirculation Cooler Temperature Sensor Replacement - Position 1
- Disconnect the electrical connector at the turbocharger.
- Disconnect the exhaust gas recirculation cooler temperature sensor - position 2 electrical connector.
- Disconnect the engine harness retainers at the right rear of the engine.
- Disconnect the engine harness at the top of the engine and position out of the way.
Exhaust Manifold Heat Shield Bolt (1) - Remove [3x]
