Installation Procedure

    NOTE:

    Align the matchmarks on the rear axle hub to the rear brake rotor.

    Rear Brake Rotor(1)@Rear Wheel Hub - Install

    Using a hydraulic press, press the rear wheel studs (1) into the rear hub and rear brake rotor assembly.

  3. Prepare the brake caliper bracket bolts and the bracket threaded holes for assembly:
    • Thoroughly clean the residue from the bolt threads with denatured alcohol and allow to dry.
    • Thoroughly clean the residue from the threaded holes with denatured alcohol and allow to dry.
    • Apply threadlocker to 2/3 of the threaded length of the bolts. Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers

    Rear Wheel Hub (1) - Install - Rear Axle Hub, Bearing, Cup, and/or Seal Replacement

  5. Rear Axle Shaft Gasket - Install
  6. Rear Axle Shaft - Install - Rear Axle Shaft and Gasket Replacement

    Install the rear brake caliper and bracket assembly (1). Rear Brake Caliper Replacement (JH6) , or Rear Brake Caliper Replacement (JH9) 

  8. Adjust the parking brake, if necessary. Parking Brake Adjustment
  9. Install the rear tire and wheel assembly. Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (Without Dual Rear Wheels) , or Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (With Dual Rear Wheels)
  10. If the brake rotor was refinished or replaced, burnish the brake pads and rotors. Brake Pad and Rotor Burnishing
