Installation Procedure

- Apply a light coat of high temperature silicone brake lubricant to the brake caliper guide pins and guide pin bores.
Rear Brake Caliper Guide Pin Seal(2) - Install[2x]
- Ensure the rear brake caliper guide pin seals are fully seated in the groove of the rear brake caliper housing.
- Rear Brake Caliper Guide Pin Boot(1) - Install[2x]
Ensure the rear brake caliper guide pin boots are fully seated in the groove of the rear brake caliper housing.
Rear Brake Caliper(1)@Rear Brake Caliper Guide Pin - Install
Ensure the rear brake caliper guide pin seals are fully seated in the groove of the rear brake caliper bracket.
Rear Disc Brake Pad Retainer Spring(1) - Install[4x]
Rear Disc Brake Inner Pad(1) - Install
- Rear Disc Brake Outer Pad(2) - Install
Install to rear brake caliper and rear brake caliper bracket as an assembly (1) to the rear axle.
- Prepare the rear brake caliper bracket bolts and the rear axle threaded holes for assembly.
- Clean the rear brake caliper bracket bolts of any threadlocking residue.
- Clean the rear axle threaded holes of any threadlocking residue with denatured alcohol and allow to dry.
- Apply threadlocker to 2/3 of the threaded length of the brake caliper bracket bolt. Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers
- Allow the threadlocker to cure approximately 10 minutes before assembly.
- CAUTION:
Rear Brake Caliper Bracket Bolt(1) - Install and tighten[2x]300N.m (221 lb ft)
- NOTE:
Install NEW brake hose fitting gaskets.
Brake Hose Fitting Gasket(2)@Brake Hose Fitting (3) - Install NEW[2x]
- Brake Hose Fitting Bolt(1) - Install and tighten - Rear Brake Hose Replacement
- Bleed the brake system. Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (Pressure) , or Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (Manual)
- Fill the brake master cylinder reservoir to the maximum-full level with GM approved brake fluid from a clean, sealed brake fluid container. Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers
- Install the rear tire and wheel assembly. Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (Without Dual Rear Wheels) , or Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (With Dual Rear Wheels)
