Assembly Procedure
- CAUTION:
Rear Brake Caliper Bleeder Valve (2) - Install and tighten - Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (Pressure) , or Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (Manual)
- Rear Brake Bleeder Valve Cap(1) - Install
Apply a thin coat of brake fluid from a clean, sealed brake fluid container to the brake caliper piston boot.(1) Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers
- Rear Brake Caliper Piston Seal(2) - Install[2x]
- Rear Brake Caliper Piston Boot(1) - Install[2x]
Install the rear brake caliper pistons (1) into the rear brake caliper housing.
Use firm, downward hand pressure to press the brake caliper pistons squarely into the caliper bores.
- Seat the edge of the brake caliper dust seals in the groove in the brake caliper piston.
- If necessary, carefully lift the edge of the brake caliper dust seals at the brake caliper piston to release any trapped air.
Rear Brake Caliper(1)@Rear Brake Caliper Guide Pin - Install
Ensure the rear brake caliper guide pin seals are fully seated in the groove of the rear brake caliper bracket.
Rear Disc Brake Pad Retainer Spring(1) - Install[4x]
Rear Disc Brake Inner Pad(1) - Install
- Rear Disc Brake Outer Pad(2) - Install
Install the rear brake caliper and bracket assembly (1). Rear Brake Caliper Replacement (JH6) , or Rear Brake Caliper Replacement (JH9)
