Removal Procedure

Steering Linkage Outer Tie Rod(1)@Steering Knuckle - Separate - Steering Linkage Outer Tie Rod Replacement
Use the J-34028 wrench (1) to hold the steering linkage inner tie rod and remove the steering linkage inner tie rod retaining nut (2).
DISCARD the nut.
- Use the J-34028 wrench (1) to rotate the steering linkage inner tie, as necessary, to break the contact between the inner tie rod and steering linkage relay rod.
Remove the steering linkage inner tie rod (1) from the vehicle.
- Transfer components as necessary.
- If transferring the steering linkage outer tie rod, lubricate the steering linkage inner tie rod threads at the outer tie rod end with chassis lubricant.
