Installation Procedure

CAUTION:
Refer to Fastener Caution .

Intermediate Steering Shaft Upper Bolt (1) @ Steering Shaft Bearing - Install and tighten 45 N.m (33 lb ft).

NOTE:
Ensure the intermediate steering shaft is FULLY seated on the power steering gear coupling shaft seal. Use the alignment fin as a guide when installing the intermediate steering shaft and ensure the intermediate steering shaft lower bolt hole is NOT obstructed. The intermediate steering shaft lower bolt should install with NO interference.

Intermediate Steering Shaft Lower Bolt (1) @ Steering Gear - Install and tighten 45 N.m (33 lb ft).
Lower the vehicle.

Remove the CH-42640 anti-rotation pin (1) from the steering column lower access hole.
