Removal Procedure

Disconnect the battery negative cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Single Battery) , or Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Dual Battery)
Remove the steering column trim covers. Steering Column Trim Cover Replacement

Remove the key chime switch (1) from the ignition lock cylinder case and set aside.

Perform the following steps to remove the ignition lock cylinder (1):
1. Turn the ignition lock cylinder to the START position.
2. Insert a suitable tool into the ignition lock cylinder case access hole and press the lock tab down.
3. Pull the ignition lock cylinder out of the ignition lock cylinder case.
