Removal Procedure

- Raise and support the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
- Remove the tire and wheel assembly. Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (Without Dual Rear Wheels) , or Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (With Dual Rear Wheels) .
- Dismount the tire from the wheel. Tire Dismounting and Mounting
- If a tire sealant product was used/found within the tire/wheel, use a mild dish soap, clean water and shop cloths to remove the sealant residue from the tire and wheel surfaces.
- NOTE:
Never install the tire pressure indicator sensor on unapproved wheel rims.
NOTE:Whenever the tire will be removed from the rim, install a new valve stem and a new bolt. Do not reuse the old parts.
Use a suitable tool (4) inserted into the hole of the valve stem (3) to prevent it from rotating.
- Remove and DISCARD the tire pressure indicator sensor bolt (1).
- Remove the tire pressure indicator sensor (2) by pulling it straight off of the valve stem (3).
- Remove and DISCARD the valve stem (3) by pulling it through the wheel.
CAUTION:
Do not scratch or damage the clear coating on aluminum wheels with the tire changing equipment. Scratching the clear coating could cause the aluminum wheel to corrode and the clear coating to peel from the wheel.
