Installation Procedure

Install a NEW oil level indicator tube seal (2) into the transmission case.
Install the oil level indicator tube (1) into the seal.
Lower the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
Install the upper transmission fill tube to the engine and into the lower fill tube.

CAUTION:
Refer to Fastener Caution .

Install the fastener (1) securing the oil level indicator tube bracket to the engine and tighten to 10 N.m (80 lb in).

Install the fastener (2) securing the transmission fluid fill tube bracket to the engine and tighten to 22 N.m (16 lb ft).
Connect the transmission vent hose retainer (1) to the transmission fluid fill tube bracket.
Install the transmission fluid level indicator to the fluid fill tube.
Install the coolant recovery reservoir. Coolant Recovery Reservoir Replacement (LV1) , or Coolant Recovery Reservoir Replacement (L96, LC8)
Install the engine cover. Engine Cover Replacement
