Preliminary Procedures

  1. Remove the propeller shaft. Refer to Fastener Caution .
  2. Remove the transmission mount. Refer to Transmission Mount Replacement .
1 Extension Case Fastener (Qty: 6)
CAUTION:

Refer to Fastener Caution .


Tighten 
55 N.m (41 lb ft)
2 Extension Case
Procedure 
Remove or replace the O-ring, if necessary.

Preliminary Procedures

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
  2. Remove the propeller shaft. Propeller Shaft Replacement (With MYD) .
  3. Support the transmission with a suitable jack.
  4. Remove the transmission mount assembly. Transmission Mount Replacement 
1 Case Extension Housing Bolt [6x]
CAUTION:

Refer to Fastener Caution .


Tighten 
55 N.m (41 lb ft)
2 Case Extension Housing Assembly
