Installation Procedure

    From underneath the vehicle, guide the power steering fluid cooler (1) upwards into the engine compartment and into position on the vehicle frame.

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

    Power Steering Fluid Cooler Nut (1) - Install and tighten[2x]28 N.m (21 lb ft)

    Install a NEW power steering fluid cooler hose seal (2) on the power steering fluid cooler hose.

    Apply a small amount of power steering fluid on the seal to aid in installation.

  4. Power Steering Fluid Cooler Hose(1) @ Steering Gear - Install and tighten34 N.m (25 lb ft)
  5. Front Wheelhouse Splash Shield-Left Side - Install - Wheelhouse Splash Shield Replacement (Left Side) , or Wheelhouse Splash Shield Replacement (Right Side)
  6. Lower the vehicle.

    Power Steering Fluid Cooler Hose(2) @ Power Steering Pump - Install

  8. Power Steering Fluid Cooler Hose Clamp(1) @ Power Steering Pump - Engage
  9. Fill and bleed the power steering system. Power Steering System Bleeding
