Checks Causes
A/Trans Fluid Pan (49) Verify proper fluid level and condition, inspect transmission assembly for leaks.
A/Trans Fluid Filter (46)
  • Inspect for damaged or restricted fluid filter (46).
  • Inspect for damaged fluid filter seal (45) or improper sealing interface, leaks, and fluid aeration.
A/Trans Fluid Pump Seal (302) Inspect for worn or damaged seal.
A/Trans Cooling/Lubrication System Inspect transmission oil cooler (radiator) and cooler line seals for restrictions, damage, kinks, or leaks.
Torque Converter Assembly (1) Inspect for overheating (blued), ballooning, leaks, or other damage.
Manual Valve (384) Inspect the manual valve detent lever assembly and connection to the manual valve (384).
A/Trans Manual Shift Shaft Position Switch Assembly (308) Inspect the switch assembly (308) and connection to the manual valve (354).
Manual Shift Shaft Position Switch Assembly (604) Inspect PRNDL commands to and from vehicle using GDS2.
Control Solenoid (w/Body and Valve) Valve Assembly (40) Inspect PRNDL commands to and from vehicle using GDS2.
Output Shaft (76) Inspect for spline wear or damage.
Output Carrier Assembly (73)
  • Inspect the carrier assembly for damaged pinion gears, thrust washers, pins, and rollers.
  • Inspect for damaged thrust bearings.
  • Inspect for damaged sun gears.
  • Inspect the carrier assembly for damaged output carrier rear sun gear thrust bearing (captured).
Input Carrier Assembly (67) Inspect carrier assembly for damaged pinion gears, thrust washers, pins, and rollers.
Input Sun Gear Assembly (69) Inspect for spline wear or damage.
