Circuit/System Verification

  1. Verify the correct adjustment: Range Selector Lever Cable

    Refer to: Range Selector Lever Cable Adjustment

    • If not adjusted correctly 

      Adjust the selector lever cable.

    • Go to next step: If adjusted correctly 
  2. Ignition - On / Vehicle - In Service Mode
  3. Verify the scan tool parameter: 9V Reference 2 Circuit Status = Not Run or OK
    • If not the specified state 

      Refer to: Circuit/System Testing

    • Go to next step: If the specified state 
  4. Operate the component: Shift Lever - Select each position
  5. Verify the scan tool parameter: Internal Mode Switch S

    Refer to: Transmission Internal Mode Switch Voltage - The value should be within the range listed in the table.

    • If not correct 

      Refer to: Circuit/System Testing

    • Go to next step: If correct 
  6. Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that you observed from the Freeze Frame/Failure Records data.

    Verify the DTC does not set.

    • If the DTC sets 

      Refer to: Circuit/System Testing

    • Go to next step: If the DTC is not set 
  7. All OK.
