Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  2. Remove the heater coolant heater. Refer to Heater Coolant Heater Replacement (LWN) .
  3. Remove the heater coolant heater control module (4). Refer to Heater Coolant Heater Control Replacement .

    Remove the heater coolant heater blower cover retaining screws (2).

  5. Remove the heater coolant heater blower cover (3).
  6. Remove the heater coolant heater combustion cover retaining screws (1).
  7. Remove the heater coolant heater combustion cover.
  8. Remove the heater coolant heater temperature sensor retaining screw.
  9. Remove the heater coolant heater temperature sensor retaining bracket.
  10. NOTE:

    Remove and discard the O-ring on the temperature sensors.

  11. Remove the heater coolant heater temperature sensors.
  12. NOTE:

    Note the routing of the wiring to ensure proper installation.

  13. Using J-38125 - 560 remove the heater coolant heater temperature sensors wiring from the electrical connector.
