Removal Procedure

  1. Recover the refrigerant. Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging .

    Air Conditioning Evaporator Tube (4) @ Air Conditioning Evaporator - Remove - Air Conditioning Evaporator Tube Replacement (C60) , or Air Conditioning Evaporator Tube Replacement (C69)

    Air Conditioning Evaporator Orifice Tube (1) @ Air Conditioning Evaporator - Remove

  4. If the air conditioning evaporator orifice tube is stuck perform the following:
    • Remove as much of the impacted residue as possible.
    • Carefully apply heat with a heat gun, or hair dryer 7 mm (0.25 in) from the dimples on the inlet pipe, being sure not to overheat.
    • While applying heat, use a turning motion along with a push-pull motion to loosen the impacted air conditioning evaporator orifice tube and remove.
