Installation Procedure

Install the auxiliary air conditioning evaporator outlet front hose to the vehicle.

NOTE:

Ensure proper positioning of the auxiliary air conditioning evaporator outlet front hose before raising vehicle.

Carefully raise the vehicle in order to lower the body back onto the frame of vehicle.
Reinstall and properly torque all body mount bolts. Body Mount Upper and Lower Cushion Replacement

Remove jack stands (1) [4x] and wood blocks from under vehicle.

Fastener Caution .

Auxiliary Air Conditioning Evaporator Intermediate Tube Nut (1) @ Auxiliary Air Conditioning Evaporator Intermediate Tube (2) - Install and tighten 9 N.m (80 lb in)

Install NEW sealing washers. (2) [2x] Air Conditioning System Seal Replacement
Auxiliary Air Conditioning Evaporator Front Tube (3) @ Auxiliary Air Conditioning Evaporator Intermediate Tube - Install
Auxiliary Air Conditioning Evaporator Front Tube Bolt (1) @ Auxiliary Air Conditioning Evaporator Intermediate Tube (3) - Install and tighten 22 N.m (16 lb ft)

NOTE:
Exhaust has been removed for graphic clarity.

NOTE:
One rivet is inaccessible and will leave the catalytic converter heat shield secured to the vehicle.

Catalytic Converter Heat Shield (2) - Install - Exhaust Heat Shield Replacement - Body Panel
Recharge the refrigerant. Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging
Fill the cooling system to the proper level. Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill LWN) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE 47716 LWN) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static LC8, LV1, L96) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE47716 LC8, LV1, L96)
Inspect for refrigerant leaks.
Start the engine and check for coolant leaks.
Unchain the vehicle frame from the hoist pads at all four contact points.
