Installation Procedure

  1. Install the auxiliary air conditioning evaporator outlet front hose to the vehicle.
  2. NOTE:

    Ensure proper positioning of the auxiliary air conditioning evaporator outlet front hose before raising vehicle.

  3. Carefully raise the vehicle in order to lower the body back onto the frame of vehicle.
  4. Reinstall and properly torque all body mount bolts. Body Mount Upper and Lower Cushion Replacement

    Remove jack stands (1) [4x] and wood blocks from under vehicle.

    CAUTION:

    Fastener Caution .

    Auxiliary Air Conditioning Evaporator Intermediate Tube Nut (1) @ Auxiliary Air Conditioning Evaporator Intermediate Tube (2) - Install and tighten 9 N.m (80 lb in)

    Auxiliary Air Conditioning Evaporator Intermediate Tube Bolt (1) @ Auxiliary Air Conditioning Evaporator Intermediate Tube (2) - Install and tighten 9 N.m (80 lb in)

    Install NEW sealing washers. (2) [2x] Air Conditioning System Seal Replacement 

  9. Auxiliary Air Conditioning Evaporator Front Tube (3) @ Auxiliary Air Conditioning Evaporator Intermediate Tube - Install
  10. Auxiliary Air Conditioning Evaporator Front Tube Bolt (1) @ Auxiliary Air Conditioning Evaporator Intermediate Tube (3) - Install and tighten 22 N.m (16 lb ft)

    Auxiliary Heater Intermediate Inlet Hose (2) @ Auxiliary Heater Intermediate Inlet Tube - Install

  12. Auxiliary Heater Intermediate Inlet Hose Clamp (1) @ Auxiliary Heater Intermediate Inlet Hose (2) - Engage - Hose Clamp Replacement Guidelines - Spring Type
  13. Auxiliary Heater Intermediate Outlet Hose (3) @ Auxiliary Heater Intermediate Outlet Tube - Install
  14. Auxiliary Heater Intermediate Outlet Hose Clamp (4) @ Auxiliary Heater Intermediate Outlet Hose (3) - Engage - Hose Clamp Replacement Guidelines - Spring Type

    Install NEW sealing washers. (3) [2x] Air Conditioning System Seal Replacement 

  16. Auxiliary Air Conditioning Evaporator Intermediate Tube (2) @ Auxiliary Air Conditioning Evaporator Hose - Install
  17. Auxiliary Air Conditioning Evaporator Intermediate Tube Nut (4) @ Auxiliary Air Conditioning Evaporator Hose - Install and tighten 22 N.m (16 lb ft)
  18. Auxiliary Heater Inlet Hose (5) @ Auxiliary Heater Intermediate Outlet Pipe - Install
  19. Auxiliary Heater Outlet Hose Clamp (7) @ Auxiliary Heater Outlet Hose (6) - Engage - Hose Clamp Replacement Guidelines - Spring Type
  20. Auxiliary Heater Outlet Hose (6) @ Auxiliary Heater Intermediate Inlet Pipe - Install
  21. Auxiliary Heater Inlet Hose Clamp (1) @ Auxiliary Heater Inlet Hose (5) - Engage - Hose Clamp Replacement Guidelines - Spring Type

    Auxiliary Air Conditioning Evaporator Hose Bolt (1) @ Auxiliary Air Conditioning Evaporator Hose (2) - Install [2x] - Auxiliary Air Conditioning Evaporator Hose Replacement (Rear)

    NOTE:

    Exhaust has been removed for graphic clarity.

    NOTE:

    One rivet is inaccessible and will leave the catalytic converter heat shield secured to the vehicle.

    Catalytic Converter Heat Shield (2) - Install - Exhaust Heat Shield Replacement - Body Panel

  24. Recharge the refrigerant. Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging 
  25. Fill the cooling system to the proper level. Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill LWN) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE 47716 LWN) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static LC8, LV1, L96) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE47716 LC8, LV1, L96)
  26. Inspect for refrigerant leaks.
  27. Start the engine and check for coolant leaks.
  28. Unchain the vehicle frame from the hoist pads at all four contact points.
