Installation Procedure

  1. Install the auxiliary air conditioning evaporator front tube to the vehicle.
    2. NOTE:

    Ensure proper positioning of the auxiliary air conditioning evaporator outlet front hose before raising vehicle.

  2. Carefully raise the vehicle in order to lower the body back onto the frame of vehicle.
  3. Reinstall and properly torque all body mount bolts. Body Mount Upper and Lower Cushion Replacement

    Remove jack stands (1) [4x] and wood blocks from under vehicle.

    Intermediate Steering Shaft (1) @ Steering Gear - Install - Lower Intermediate Steering Shaft Replacement

    Install NEW sealing washers. (2) [2x] Air Conditioning System Seal Replacement 

  7. Auxiliary Air Conditioning Evaporator Front Tube (3) @ Auxiliary Air Conditioning Evaporator Intermediate Tube - Install
    8. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  8. Auxiliary Air Conditioning Evaporator Front Tube Bolt (1) @ Auxiliary Air Conditioning Evaporator Intermediate Tube (3) - Install and tighten 22 N.m (16 lb ft)

    Auxiliary Heater Intermediate Inlet Hose (2) @ Auxiliary Heater Intermediate Inlet Tube - Install

  10. Auxiliary Heater Intermediate Inlet Hose Clamp (1) @ Auxiliary Heater Intermediate Inlet Hose (2) - Engage - Hose Clamp Replacement Guidelines - Spring Type
  11. Auxiliary Heater Intermediate Outlet Hose (3) @ Auxiliary Heater Intermediate Outlet Tube - Install
  12. Auxiliary Heater Intermediate Outlet Hose Clamp (4) @ Auxiliary Heater Intermediate Outlet Hose (3) - Engage - Hose Clamp Replacement Guidelines - Spring Type

    Auxiliary Air Conditioning Evaporator Front Tube Nut (1) @ Auxiliary Air Conditioning Evaporator Intermediate Tube (2) - Install and tighten [2x] 9 N.m (80 lb in)

    Auxiliary Heater Outlet Hose (1) @ Auxiliary Heater Outlet Front Pipe - Install

  15. Auxiliary Heater Outlet Hose Clamp (8) @ Auxiliary Heater Outlet Front Pipe - Engage - Hose Clamp Replacement Guidelines - Spring Type
  16. Auxiliary Heater Inlet Hose (2) @ Auxiliary Heater Inlet Front Pipe - Install
  17. Auxiliary Heater Inlet Hose Clamp (7) @ Auxiliary Heater Inlet Front Pipe - Engage - Hose Clamp Replacement Guidelines - Spring Type
  18. Auxiliary Heater Outlet Hose (3) @ Auxiliary Heater Outlet Front Pipe - Install
  19. Auxiliary Heater Outlet Hose Clamp (6) @ Auxiliary Heater Outlet Front Pipe - Engage - Hose Clamp Replacement Guidelines - Spring Type
  20. Auxiliary Heater Inlet Hose (4) @ Auxiliary Heater Inlet Front Pipe - Install
  21. Auxiliary Heater Inlet Hose Clamp (5) @ Auxiliary Heater Inlet Front Pipe - Engage - Hose Clamp Replacement Guidelines - Spring Type
  22. Front Wheelhouse Splash Shield- Right Side - Install - Wheelhouse Splash Shield Replacement (Right Side)

    Auxiliary Air Conditioning Evaporator Front Tube Bolt (1) @ Front Wheelhouse Splash Shield - Install and tighten 9 N.m (80 lb in)

  24. Install the right front tire and wheel assembly. Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (Without Dual Rear Wheels) , or Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (With Dual Rear Wheels)

    Install a NEW sealing washer. (6)

  26. Auxiliary Air Conditioning Evaporator Front Tube (1) @ Air Conditioning Evaporator Tube - Install
  27. Auxiliary Air Conditioning Evaporator Front Tube Nut (2) @ Air Conditioning Evaporator Tube - Install and tighten 22 N.m (16 lb ft)
  28. Install a NEW sealing washer. (4)
  29. Auxiliary Air Conditioning Evaporator Front Tube (3) @ Air Conditioning Compressor Hose - Install
  30. Auxiliary Air Conditioning Evaporator Front Tube Nut (5) @ Air Conditioning Compressor Hose - Install and tighten 22 N.m (16 lb ft)

    Air Conditioning Evaporator Tube (4) @ Air Conditioning Evaporator - Install - Air Conditioning Evaporator Tube Replacement (C60) , or Air Conditioning Evaporator Tube Replacement (C69)

    Accumulator Bracket (2) - Install - Air Conditioning Accumulator Replacement 

  33. Coolant Recovery Reservoir - Install - Coolant Recovery Reservoir Replacement (LV1) , or Coolant Recovery Reservoir Replacement (L96, LC8)
  34. Recharge the refrigerant. Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging 
  35. Fill the cooling system to the proper level. Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill LWN) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE 47716 LWN) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static LC8, LV1, L96) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE47716 LC8, LV1, L96)
  36. Inspect for refrigerant leaks.
  37. Start the engine and check for coolant leaks.
  38. Unchain the vehicle frame from the hoist pads at all four contact points.
