Installation Procedure
- Install the auxiliary air conditioning evaporator front tube to the vehicle.
- Carefully raise the vehicle in order to lower the body back onto the frame of vehicle.
- Reinstall and properly torque all body mount bolts. Body Mount Upper and Lower Cushion Replacement
Remove jack stands (1) [4x] and wood blocks from under vehicle.
Intermediate Steering Shaft (1) @ Steering Gear - Install - Lower Intermediate Steering Shaft Replacement
Install NEW sealing washers. (2) [2x] Air Conditioning System Seal Replacement
- Auxiliary Air Conditioning Evaporator Front Tube (3) @ Auxiliary Air Conditioning Evaporator Intermediate Tube - Install
- Auxiliary Air Conditioning Evaporator Front Tube Bolt (1) @ Auxiliary Air Conditioning Evaporator Intermediate Tube (3) - Install and tighten 22 N.m (16 lb ft)
Auxiliary Heater Intermediate Inlet Hose (2) @ Auxiliary Heater Intermediate Inlet Tube - Install
- Auxiliary Heater Intermediate Inlet Hose Clamp (1) @ Auxiliary Heater Intermediate Inlet Hose (2) - Engage - Hose Clamp Replacement Guidelines - Spring Type
- Auxiliary Heater Intermediate Outlet Hose (3) @ Auxiliary Heater Intermediate Outlet Tube - Install
- Auxiliary Heater Intermediate Outlet Hose Clamp (4) @ Auxiliary Heater Intermediate Outlet Hose (3) - Engage - Hose Clamp Replacement Guidelines - Spring Type
Auxiliary Air Conditioning Evaporator Front Tube Nut (1) @ Auxiliary Air Conditioning Evaporator Intermediate Tube (2) - Install and tighten [2x] 9 N.m (80 lb in)
Auxiliary Heater Outlet Hose (1) @ Auxiliary Heater Outlet Front Pipe - Install
- Auxiliary Heater Outlet Hose Clamp (8) @ Auxiliary Heater Outlet Front Pipe - Engage - Hose Clamp Replacement Guidelines - Spring Type
- Auxiliary Heater Inlet Hose (2) @ Auxiliary Heater Inlet Front Pipe - Install
- Auxiliary Heater Inlet Hose Clamp (7) @ Auxiliary Heater Inlet Front Pipe - Engage - Hose Clamp Replacement Guidelines - Spring Type
- Auxiliary Heater Outlet Hose (3) @ Auxiliary Heater Outlet Front Pipe - Install
- Auxiliary Heater Outlet Hose Clamp (6) @ Auxiliary Heater Outlet Front Pipe - Engage - Hose Clamp Replacement Guidelines - Spring Type
- Auxiliary Heater Inlet Hose (4) @ Auxiliary Heater Inlet Front Pipe - Install
- Auxiliary Heater Inlet Hose Clamp (5) @ Auxiliary Heater Inlet Front Pipe - Engage - Hose Clamp Replacement Guidelines - Spring Type
- Front Wheelhouse Splash Shield- Right Side - Install - Wheelhouse Splash Shield Replacement (Right Side)
Auxiliary Air Conditioning Evaporator Front Tube Bolt (1) @ Front Wheelhouse Splash Shield - Install and tighten 9 N.m (80 lb in)
- Install the right front tire and wheel assembly. Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (Without Dual Rear Wheels) , or Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (With Dual Rear Wheels)
Install a NEW sealing washer. (6)
- Auxiliary Air Conditioning Evaporator Front Tube (1) @ Air Conditioning Evaporator Tube - Install
- Auxiliary Air Conditioning Evaporator Front Tube Nut (2) @ Air Conditioning Evaporator Tube - Install and tighten 22 N.m (16 lb ft)
- Install a NEW sealing washer. (4)
- Auxiliary Air Conditioning Evaporator Front Tube (3) @ Air Conditioning Compressor Hose - Install
- Auxiliary Air Conditioning Evaporator Front Tube Nut (5) @ Air Conditioning Compressor Hose - Install and tighten 22 N.m (16 lb ft)
Air Conditioning Evaporator Tube (4) @ Air Conditioning Evaporator - Install - Air Conditioning Evaporator Tube Replacement (C60) , or Air Conditioning Evaporator Tube Replacement (C69)
Accumulator Bracket (2) - Install - Air Conditioning Accumulator Replacement
- Coolant Recovery Reservoir - Install - Coolant Recovery Reservoir Replacement (LV1) , or Coolant Recovery Reservoir Replacement (L96, LC8)
- Recharge the refrigerant. Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging
- Fill the cooling system to the proper level. Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill LWN) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE 47716 LWN) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static LC8, LV1, L96) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE47716 LC8, LV1, L96)
- Inspect for refrigerant leaks.
- Start the engine and check for coolant leaks.
- Unchain the vehicle frame from the hoist pads at all four contact points.
Ensure proper positioning of the auxiliary air conditioning evaporator outlet front hose before raising vehicle.
