Installation Procedure

  1. Prior to installing the air conditioning compressor perform the air conditioning compressor oil balancing procedure. Air Conditioning Compressor Oil Balancing

    Install the air conditioning compressor (2) to the vehicle.

  3. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  4. Air Conditioning Compressor Bolt- Long (3) - Install and tighten [2x] 58 N.m (43 lb ft)
  5. Air Conditioning Compressor Bolt- Short (1) @ Air Conditioning Compressor (2) - Install and tighten 45 N.m (33 lb ft)
  6. Connect all electrical connectors.

    Air Conditioning Condenser Hose (2) @ Air Conditioning Compressor - Install - Air Conditioning Condenser Hose Replacement (LV1)

    Air Conditioning Compressor Hose (2) @ Air Conditioning Compressor - Install - Air Conditioning Compressor Hose Replacement (LWN) , or Air Conditioning Compressor Hose Replacement (L96, LC8, LV1)

    Air Conditioning Compressor Belt (3) @ Air Conditioning Compressor - Install - Air Conditioning Compressor Belt Replacement

    Front Wheelhouse Splash Shield-Right Side (3) - Install - Wheelhouse Splash Shield Replacement (Right Side)

  11. Recharge the refrigerant. Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging 
  12. Inspect for refrigerant leaks.
