Circuit/System Testing

  1. Verify a condition does not exist with the component: Exhaust System & Turbocharger
    • If a condition exists 

      Repair or replace as necessary.

    • Go to next step: If no condition exists 
  2. Verify a condition does not exist with the component: Induction System
    • Intake Air Duct - Collapsed
    • Intake Air Duct Seal - Leaking
    • Loose Clamps
    • Missing components
    • Visible Damage
    • If a condition exists 

      Repair or replace as necessary.

    • Go to next step: If no condition exists 
  3. Verify the condition does not exist: Oil consumption - Refer to: Oil Consumption Diagnosis
    • If a condition exists 

      Repair or replace as necessary.

    • Go to next step: If no condition exists 
  4. Perform the following procedure/test: DPF Service Regeneration - Refer to: Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) Service Regeneration
    • If the procedure was not successful 

      Replace the component: Exhaust Particulate Filter

    • Go to next step: If the procedure was successful 
  5. All OK.
