Circuit/System Verification

  1. Ignition On.
  2. Verify DTC P003A, P0045, P0046, P0047, P0048, P0685, P0686, P0687 P0689, P0690 P16B0, P16B1, P16B2, P169E, P169F, P2564, P2565, P2598, or P2599 is not set.
    • Go to next step: If none of the DTCs are set 
  3. Engine idling at the normal operating temperature.
    4. NOTE:

    It may be necessary to clear the DTC to allow the control function to operate.

  4. Verify the scan tool Turbocharger Vane Position parameter increases and decreases when commanding the Turbocharger Vane Position to 80% and then back to 0% with a scan tool.
    • If the parameter does not increase and decrease 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing.

    • Go to next step: If the parameter increases and decreases 
  5. Operate the vehicle within the conditions for running the DTC. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that you observed from the freeze frame/failure records data.

    Verify the DTC does not set.

    • If the DTC sets 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing.

    • Go to next step: If the DTC does not set 
  6. All OK.
